“We are doing everything we can to avoid a situation like this in the future.”

The words are those of Jonas Bjelfvenstam (Director General of the Swedish Transport Agency) and are of course about the situation with the Transport Agency’s procurement, the handling of personal data and consideration of Swedish law.
We do not say that we solve all the Transport Agency’s problems. But if the Swedish Transport Agency is to do everything possible to avoid the same incident again, our services can help a lot. And with Storegate, all files are stored in Sweden, protected by Swedish law.

An uncertain future requires certain choices

The EU’s GDPR will soon enter into force and an agreement has been reached with the US. But rights to access data on servers in Europe are still wanted and a ruling has been appealed. The future is uncertain, perhaps more so than in a long time, with a US president creating political effects that were barely on the map during Obama’s time in office, an EU shaken by Brexit, among other things, and a generally changing situation in the world where both contradictions and common goals are raised daily.
With uncertainty about tomorrow, the importance of making thoughtful and safe choices today becomes increasingly important. That’s why we say “Welcome to Storegate” – here you as an entrepreneur, authority or organization can feel safe. Files and personal data you place with us, they stay here – on servers in Sweden.

A joking tone that means business

Someone might think we’re cocky, but that’s not really the point. Our advertising just says, with a big twinkle in the eye, that if the Swedish Transport Agency needs a secure and good way to store files in Sweden – then we are here. And of course for others who need it too.

We do not want to pick on anyone, on the contrary. The Swedish Transport Agency has, the hard way, realized the seriousness and acted according to the conditions. Far from everyone has, and who knows who will be the target of the next drive.
Have you? Have you acted?

The quote in full

– I take this very seriously and measures have been taken. It goes without saying that we as an authority must comply with the laws, regulations and security protection requirements that apply in our field of activity. We are doing everything we can to avoid a situation like this in the future,” says Jonas Bjelfvenstam.
