Swedish companies can now share files securely with BankID

PRESSRELEASE:

Following the recent debate on the use of cloud computing by Swedish companies and public authorities, the demand for sharing sensitive information has been raised. In response, the all-Swedish cloud service Storegate now offers the possibility to share files and folders securely with BankID.

BankID is by far the largest e-identification system in Sweden and is managed by the company Finansiell ID-Teknik BID AB, which is owned by several Swedish banks. In March 2018, there were approximately 6.5 million active BankID users and more than 600 web services that support BankID. The fact that Storegate now also supports BankID for secure delivery of files and folders means that it will be even easier for companies and authorities to exchange information via the Internet.

Share files with BankID launched for all corporate customers

– Today, there is a great demand for services to store and share files securely in the cloud. With Storegate, you can now easily complement your existing cloud services to get secure management of your business or government data, says Matz Karlsson CEO of Storegate AB. This is possible because Storegate develops its services on its own platform and can therefore develop services adapted to the needs of the Swedish market. In addition, all files are stored in our own servers located in data centers located in Sweden. Having our own platform also means that we can offer customized cloud services to secure, store and share files. The function will be launched next week to both new and existing customers, concludes Matz Karlsson.
