PRESSRELEASE:
Many companies and public authorities work with sensitive information that should not be stored in foreign cloud services. The reasons can be many, but the most common reason is to comply with GDPR. Storegate is now releasing a number of new features in its Swedish cloud that will facilitate the management of files but without compromising security.
New features in SOSA 3.10
The release of SOSA 3.10 (Storegate Online Storage Application) includes a number of new features, but there are two in particular that will help Office users:
Share files and save email attachments GDPR-safely
One problem that many companies and authorities have is that they risk exposing GDPR-sensitive information via their regular email. For example, if you attach a file with customer information, you should not include it as an attachment in the email. So to give users better opportunities for safer and more secure information management, we have now developed a new feature – Storegate as a plugin in Microsoft Outlook.
Work locally but save in the cloud
Storegate already allows you to work in your Office files via Microsoft 365 on the web. Now you can also choose on the web to work in the files on your computer locally but that the file is saved in the Swedish cloud. An important feature if you want full control of your files.
– “Today there is a great demand for services to store and share files, not only in a secure way technically, but also in a correct way, legally,” says Matz Karlsson, CEO of Storegate. “Many people think that only larger companies and authorities have to deal with this, but it applies from the one-man company upwards. Storegate’s services make it even easier for anyone to work in Office programs and save data in a Swedish cloud service.
