In line with thes the date of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation approaches and services such as Facebook choose to move user data to avoid GDPR legislation, online awareness of privacy and protection has also increased. This applies to both companies and individuals. Therefore, Storegate is now launching a number of new services to meet these requirements.
Today, sharing a person’s email address in an email can be enough to violate data protection regulations. With Storegate, it is easy to share and collect information while keeping track of the right to be forgotten. You can also get an assistance agreement that makes the handling of personal data legal.
– To make it even easier for our customers to meet the requirements of GDPR, we have now launched support for OAuth, event log and the ability to limit distributions in teams, says Bertil Hedén, Marketing Manager at Storegate. This gives customers better control over what is stored in the cloud.
- OAuth support – provides customers with single sign-on management for all clients and apps.
- Event log – allows customers to search for events on specific files or folders.
- Restrict sharing – the administrator can stop users in a team from sharing stored information outside the team.
Another reassurance is that all information is stored in Swedish data centers under Swedish law. Therefore, you never have to worry about being exposed to foreign law or transparency from foreign cloud services. In addition, the GDPR requires that all storage takes place within the EU.
