Why Storegate Signing?

Our digital signing service, also known as electronic signing or e-signing, like all our other services, complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The service meets the requirements of the EU eIDAS Regulation for advanced signing, which is required, for example, for signing non-disclosure agreements or submitting annual accounts digitally.

All contracts are generated with a qualified time stamp for long-term archiving (LTV) in PAdES format (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures). The certificate that seals the documents can be found on the EUTL (European Union Trusted List) and AATL (Adobe Approved Trusted List).

What is an advanced electronic signature?

An advanced electronic signature is a form of electronic signature that meets specific requirements under the EU eIDAS Regulation. For a signature to be considered an advanced electronic signature, the following four criteria must be met:

  • Unikt knuten till undertecknaren
  • Undertecknaren kan tydligt identifieras
  • Endast undertecknaren kan skapa sin egen e-signatur
  • Innehållet kan inte ändras utan att det upptäcks
