A new version of Storegate Pro Backup is now available with several new features that make backup more efficient.
One of the main ones is the handling during upload, previously a larger free space on disk was needed as the program stored the entire encrypted backup locally before uploading. Nowadays, the local hard disk is not required to have space for the entire backup file, the zip archives (500 MB) are instead sent up at the same time as the backup is running.
The program can now also be run as 64-bit, which is useful for memory-heavy tasks such as backing up many individual files (>1 million) or for encryption and compression.
