Swedish Storegate AB has now launched Microsoft Office Online in its cloud service for storing, sharing and collaborating with files. This feature supports the growing need for real-time document sharing and the ability to edit documents directly on the web. With a few simple clicks in Storegate’s web interface, Storegate customers can preview, create, edit and collaborate on documents and have them automatically saved to their Storegate account.
Since 2003, Storegate AB has delivered secure storage, automatic backup and services for collaborating with digital information to more than 200,000 customers in the Nordic region. With local storage under Swedish legislation and local support, Storegate customers can feel safe storing data in the cloud.
– We have stored over 200,000 customers’ information in one of Sweden’s most secure data centers since 2003. Being able to offer editing of Office documents directly in the browser feels like a fantastic complement,” says Matz Karlsson, CEO of Storegate AB. “This has been one of the highest requests among our corporate customers for some time, and with the help of the integration, everyone now has the opportunity to work securely in the cloud and have all files automatically stored at Storegate in Sweden,” concludes Matz Karlsson.

Storegate stores the world’s most important information – yours.
Several billion files are stored in Storegate’s system. Files that for many are irreplaceable. This is a responsibility that Storegate takes very seriously. Therefore, all information is stored in an extremely professional environment. The data centers where the files are stored are security-classified at the highest level in terms of intrusion, fire protection and power supply. All components of the system are duplicated and thus fault-tolerant, and data is always backed up to two different media. The information stored is not accessible to anyone other than the person who stored it and has a username and password. Storegate uses https-encrypted login authorization, which means that login credentials are encrypted and cannot be seen by anyone unauthorized. All transmission is encrypted over the Internet.
