3 tips to create a strong password

Today is Password Change Day, a great opportunity to be reminded of the importance of having a strong password. It doesn’t have to be complicated, here are our top 3 tips:

  1. Don’t reuse – Make sure you have different passwords for different services. If one site gets hacked, your password is on the move, and it’s nice to know that it can’t be used elsewhere. You won’t have to change your password everywhere, and you’ll avoid the risk of being hacked on several sites at once.
  2. Length – The password should have at least 12 characters, but preferably more. Instead of using random characters, use compound words to make it easier to remember. For example, “Cheesebowofcheddar solves everything99%”.
  3. Strength – Combining upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

You do know that we also have two-step verification, right? You can activate it under settings when you are logged in via the website. Read more here.
